The WEC 2006 series began far to the north in Sweden and then moved almost as far south as possible to Portugal and southern Spain. After a round in Italy it went across the Atlantic to the USA and Canada before returning to Slovakia in Eastern Europe and the final round in France. And despite the competition from the best riders in the North America, there was no change overall for the rights to claim the titles of best off-road riders in the world.
